Over a three-year campaign, we created a series of ads to showcase Silterra's differentiating qualities as well as its business growth and expanded offerings. In the first year of quarterly ads, we emphasized Silterra's fierce competitiveness, knowing it would appeal to major manufacturers who expected VIP treatment from their vendors. We chose a sports theme, and filled each ad with the language and imagery of athletic excellence and winning performances.
For the second year's campaign, we borrowed a page from Moore's Law. Semiconductor manufacturers face mounting design problems as they try to pack more features into smaller chip geometries. This phenomenon inspired us to focus industry attention on Silterra's expertise at solving technology challenges. Our theme focused on games of strategy and skill such as chess and Go. Because of the company's global customer base, games were chosen and the ads were timed to appear in tandem with world competitions for those games.
By the third year we knew the time was ripe to promote the company's emerging reputation as a trusted partner that consistently goes the extra mile to ensure manufacturing excellence for its customers. Our choice of a music theme showed that the secret to a great partnership, like a great symphony, is the ability to work in concert with one another.
Each high-impact ad campaign told a story of great performances, and conveyed to the target audience a sense of action, expertise and a level of partnership required to win in the semiconductor market. The campaign created global brand awareness and affinity for the company and validated its slogan: Delivering Success.
