CREATIVE DESIGN PROCESS
Through our formal training and years of experience,
we have developed a simple yet effective process. "Listen>Think>Create>Communicate"
is our formula for success in creating effective marketing communications,
and building positive, productive working relationships with our
clients.
LISTEN
"...AN OPEN DOOR AND OPEN MINDS”
The main purpose of the listening phase is to identify
the parameters of your project. We listen analytically in order
to gather as much information about your company, your audience,
and the reasons you have for doing the project. It is our goal to
saturate our minds with your marketing plan, product benefits, and
company culture to develop the best solution to represent you and
your company.
THINK
"...ON BOTH SIDES OF THE BRAIN”
With our minds and notebooks full from the initial
meeting, we go back to our office to break down and process the
information. We further research your technology, market, and competitors
to fill any gaps and to identify where your company is and where
it should be. Once we have organized the information into a comprehensive
understanding of your goals and requirements, we begin the creative
process.
CREATE
"...DESIGN WITH PURPOSE"
This is where the magic happens. After fully understanding
your goals and constraints, we let the creative juices flow. By
constantly relying on the discipline derived from our experience
and formal training in visual communications, we keep our ideas
flowing in the right direction.
COMMUNICATE
"...THE RIGHT MESSAGE TO THE RIGHT
AUDIENCE—VIA THE RIGHT MEDIUM."
We understand that effective communication is the
key to the success of any project. We are a thinking design firm
and our ultimate goal is to get the right message to the audience—via
the right medium.

EXTRANET
A project schedule keeps everyone up to date on reviews
and deadlines, and a project journal lets us record any changes
or red flags. New designs for each client are posted in the "drawing
board" area where they may be viewed and downloaded. Other
files may also be uploaded, downloaded, and stored in a company-wide
"file exchange" by both Designworks staff and our clients.
Every Designworks client receives a unique username and password
and security is closely monitored.
As a service to our long-term clients, Designworks
creates a style library in which all elements of a client's corporate
identity and branding are securely stored. PowerPoint presentations,
logos, datasheet templates, and more are available to our clients
at the click of a mouse. This makes it easy and convenient to distribute
these materials throughout the organization.
While we value the genuine candor of the face-to-face
meeting, we realize that it is not always convenient, or time-efficient,
to meet in person for every step of a project lifecycle. Our extranet
has allowed us to complete complex projects for clients around the
world while minimizing travel expenses and
meeting coordination time.
